Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn: Bedroom Mantel

My home is starting to look more and more like fall is coming. It’s still pretty hot outside most days but if I stay inside I can pretend that it’s a crispy fall day. I’ve already put fall touches on my living room mantel, in my kitchen, my dining room hutch, and today it’s time to add a little fall to my bedroom. Occasionally I will just add a few things to the decor I already have in place but most of the time I like to start with a blank slate. I’m loving this sheaf of wheat that I picked up at Marshalls the other day. It really speaks to the neutral fall colors that I’m really enjoying this year. What vignette can possibly be complete without adding some vintage books? I love adding candles in the fall and winter. I collect all the vintage brass candlesticks that I find and love grouping them here and there around my home. It makes things so much cozier even when they aren’t lit. Because these ones are placed so close to the dry wheat and my canvas, I chose not to light them. Adding in a little fall leaves. And some pumpkins. This blush pink one is new this year and the perfect addition to my bedroom. I love how romantic it is. A little more filler with some tiny pumpkins and some more leaves, pinecones and dry corn husks and I’m done. I absolutely love this acanthus leaf corbel or shelf and like to use it as a book end by setting it upside down. I think I’m going to need a lot more blush pumpkins. How pretty is this? The perfect cozy touches for fall in my bedroom. I’ll show you the rest of the room once I finish installing the wood flooring! Emily’s Post Emily has styled her bedroom mantel for fall as well. Let’s go take a look. Just click on the photo below. Until next time, sweet friends…
